The Neuroscience of Leadership: Harness the Untapped Power of the Brain

Location: Regency Ballroom

Over the past decade, neuroscience has revealed new insights into human nature and behavior, and the implications are surprisingly relevant for organizational leaders. This webinar dives into the latest research on leading with the brain in mind. Empowered with insights based on scientific research, participants will learn why many leadership efforts and organizational change initiatives are unsuccessful, and why human behavior doesn’t always work the way leaders think it does. So you say you are looking to increase engagement, IMPOSSIBLE, without a culture of respect...

Location: Regency Ballroom

Like you, we believe that people learn from each other. But, to do that they must respect each other's values. That's why we think it is important to establish a foundation for collaboration based on a culture of respect. Also like you, we believe that simply teaching people the theories relating to communication, dealing with change, embracing healthy conflict while effectively addressing unhealthy conflict, and engagement won't get the job done. I don't believe it is the job of the L&OD organization to make people work more productively or to make managers better leaders. I believe that happens (or not) organically, at the team level.

The Ntrinsx system is designed to be quick, easy, and inexpensive to deploy, yet surprisingly accurate. We use simple techniques to keep the tenets of respect top of mind, making Ntrinsx a natural "language" that promotes a culture of respect. The integrated learning modules are designed to help people relate to and respect others' individual perspectives, experiences, and strengths so they can learn from each other. Our TeamTalk tool is designed to instigate meaningful conversations among team members resulting in microlearning that does not strain budgets and does not require a lot of planning. We offer free accounts for members to use with their families because I can't think of a better way to contextualize the learning, which they can then apply to other work and life situations.

Join me over lunch to experience Ntrinsx firsthand in a lively conversation about how to meet the challenges and leverage the opportunities in today's work-life environment.

I’m Blue/Orange/Green/Gold. Let’s talk about that.

Everyone Wants to Work Here! Helping Leaders Amplify Performance

Location: Regency Ballroom

Leaders like you need a more strategic approach to productivity to attract the best talent, energize your team, and be the leader in your market. This workshop will debunk old-fashioned “time-management” advice and provide a new perspective, more relevant for leaders in the 21st century: Attention Management. This approach will allow them to:

    1. Capitalize on the wisdom in the organization
    2. Help staff to find their “flow,” and unleash their collective genius
    3. Empower leaders to bring their full range of talents and experience to the organization, and be the visionary thinkers that their leadership positions demand.
    4. Understand how their behaviors and their organization’s culture may actually be undermining their team’s ability to bring their “A-game” to their work every day.

The objectives are achieved through a combination of engaging, interactive presentation, peer-to-peer connection, and facilitated group discussion, plus specific action steps you need to immediately implement the concepts presented.

THE MUSIC OF BUSINESS: Creative problem solving, curiosity, collaboration and agility from the dangerous world of jazz music

Location: Regency Ballroom

The mysterious and dangerous world of jazz is a caldron of spontaneous creativity. And in times of radical change and uncertainty, it serves as the perfect model for modern leadership.

Professional jazz guitarist and prolific entrepreneur Josh Linkner connects the dots between jazz and business, helping to unlock the secrets of some of the world’s most creative geniuses. Using live jazz as a metaphor for collaborative innovation, this session is entertaining, inspiring, and directly applicable to the daily challenges we face in business.

A fusion of live musical performance and keynote presentation, the session’s finale includes audience members “joining the band” to compose and perform a song in real-time to the delight of the audience. Cameras will flash as the entire group is dazzled by their colleagues' improvisation and spontaneous invention.
